Pine Ridge Scores Early And Coasts To Victory Over Atlantic
Pine Ridge jumped out to the early lead Thursday and never looked back to defeat Atlantic 7-2 and get back to .500 for the season with a 2-2 record.
Kayden Anderson led off the bottom of the first inning with a walk. Following two errors that loaded the bases Anderson eventually scored on a second walk issued to Tyler Gregory. Bryce Jones singled to center-field, scoring two.
Pine Ridge added two more runs in the second when Austin Cioffi lead off with a line drive single to center-field. Back-to-back doubles by Tyler Russo and Xavier Rosado pushed the lead to 5-0. The Panthers also added runs in both the fourth and fifth innings.
Atlantic was able to score in the fifth inning when Trainham came up with a two out single to score Jackson from second. Atlantic tacked on a run in the seventh but would fall short of a comeback.
