Father Lopez Walks Off To Semifinals In Eighth Inning

Cameron Green capped off a monster day at the plate by walking off with the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning on Monday, as Father Lopez edged Windermere Prep 8-7 in a 4A-3 quarterfinal contest. Green was 3-for-5 with two RBIs, connecting for his third hit of the day leading off the bottom of the eighth. Grayson Chastain then dropped down a sacrifice bunt to move Green over, and a throwing error allowed him to score and send the Green Wave (11-12-1) to a semifinal meeting with #1 seed The First Academy on Tuesday. Chastain went 2-for-4 with a run and Blake Young was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run.
